In July 2011, Veolia Environmental Services was awarded a contract by Hertfordshire County Council to develop a combined facility that will remove recyclable material from the residual waste stream before recovering energy from the remainder and minimising its disposal to landfill.
We have been consulting extensively with the local community regarding our proposals for a Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility at New Barnfield in Hatfield. In November 2011 we submitted an application to the planning authority for consideration.
