Visitors were able to go on a guided tour of the park to look at the history, heritage and landscape of the site. They were also able to see the range of machinery and equipment that staff use to keep the park looking its best.
Aside from the tours, visitors could also take part in a poster competition and a competition to guess how many plants make up the 3D dragon in the park.
Andrew Fulcher, landscapes contract manager said: “It was fantastic to welcome everyone to Castle Park to provide them with an insight as to what goes on here. It was a great day and everyone really enjoyed the tours and competitions we put on for them. I would also like to extend my thanks to the team here for their incredible hard work and efforts that went into making this day so successful.”
