Refuse round nine, which is made up of Mouloud Mimoune, Khasim Ahmed, Mark Byrne and Ahmed Mahamed, were crowned as the top crew working for Veolia in Camden in 2011.
On presenting the crew with their award, Veolia’s director of municipal services in London, Pascal Hauret, described them as “a valued team who are reliable, dedicated and professional. The crew work with consistency and are always willing and prepared to assist and help out.”
Also receiving an award was Radoslaw Zietala, acting foreman for recycling, who was named Employee of the Quarter for the October to December 2011 period. Pascal Hauret said: “Radoslaw played a key role in the introduction of the organic waste service, as well as in the deployment of the organic bins across the borough. Rad is very professional in all aspects of his work.”
A Special Recognition Award was also presented to Harold Freeman for consistently high performance levels. Pascal Hauret said: “Harold is a very reliable employee who is a key player in the day to day running of his depot.”
Harold said: “I am very happy to be given this award and honoured that my hard work has been noticed and recognised in this way.”
