Our staff have found all manner of enterprising ways to raise money for Mind:
For example, over forty people have stretched themselves to the limit to raise over £35,000 by taking part in activities including the Three Peaks Challenge, Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and the London Marathon.
Through ticket sales for the Mind Spring Raffle, we raised over £4,000. The grand prize draw took place at our Freeth Street facility in Nottingham with former Strictly Come Dancing Star, Camilla Dallerup. Kevin Hussey, who works in South Downs Haulage, walked away with the top prize of £4,000.

Sites have also been getting involved in the partnership by holding local fundraising activities. The team in Hollingdean held a Wear it Blue day and a raffle and raised over £200. 13 daredevils from Armoury Road, Birmingham and Hereford commercial depots took part in a 15,000ft tandem sky dive raising £900 for Mind and £100 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Those brave enough to take part in the sky dive, which included a 60 second free fall, included 64 year old driver Richard Griffiths from Hereford who had never set foot in an aeroplane, and three employees dressed as Smurfs! All participants landed safely and some are even planning a repeat performance!

From quizzes and cake sales to raffles, everyone around the company has been involved in the fundraising activities. Business partners have also been supportive of the charity with BatteryBack offering to give £400 to Mind for every tonne of batteries collected at our sites. All of these will go towards our final target of raising £100,000.
However, this partnership with Mind is not just about fundraising; we have also been helping Mind with business support such as advising on their procurement strategy and guidance on office moves and recruitment opportunities.
