Full terms and conditions
1. The competition will run between Tuesday 01 November 2011 and Tuesday 24 January 2012.
2. The competition consists of a question and one possible answer.
3. Entrants in to the competition must be over the age of 16. You must have the bill payer’s permission before you enter.
4. Entry in to the competition is by text only. Text messages cost £1 plus your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates).
5. To enter the competition, you will need to text the keyword (VEOLIA), followed by your answer to the short code (88080). Please make sure you key-in the short code (88080) and spell the keyword (VEOLIA) and your selected answer correctly.
6. If your entry is valid, and your text message is received within the specified times and dates, you will be charged £1 via a bounce-back message, of which 45p will be donated to our charity of the year. It may take some time for you to receive the bounce-back message.
7. If your entry is invalid, or your text message is received outside the specified times and dates, you may not receive a bounce-back but may still be charged your standard network message charge but you will not be charged £1.
8. The winner will be the first eligible and correct entry, randomly selected on Thursday 26 January 2012. If we are unable to contact the winner (on the mobile number the winning entry was made from) within 24 hours, after reasonable attempts have been made, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
9. The winner will be announced on Friday 27 January 2012.
10. The prize consists of a 2010/11 signed England football shirt.
11. The prize is as stated, there is no cash alternative.
12. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
13. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries that breach these rules or are in any way fraudulent or unreadable. The Promoter also reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control.
15. The Promoter, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for: (i) any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any entry being lost or not properly registered or recorded and; (ii) cancellation of the event comprising the prize or any other changes made by the event organisers. The Promoter will not be required to provide any further event tickets. The Promoter reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend this competition for legal or technical reasons without any liability. Any such alterations will be posted on the Promoters website.
16. The Promoter will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission.
