Recycling facilities

We operate a network of recycling facilities across the UK, including Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs), composting facilities and will be operating a Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant from late 2011.

    Paper and card facilities

    Veolia collects and processes recovered paper, cardboard and polythene, with secure shredding facilities for confidential documents.

    Materials Recovery Facilities

    The facilities handle and recycle a range of materials including newspapers and magazines, cardboard, food and drinks cans and plastic bottles. After recycling separation, the materials are sorted and sent on for reprocessing.

    Composting facilities

    Veolia has invested in a number of composting facilities to recycle green waste from our local authority contracts into high quality peat-free compost.
