I am pleased to announce that on Tuesday we were awarded the HR Distinction award for Change Management.
We received this prestigious award for our successful transition strategy which we implemented when Veolia Environmental Services acquired Cleanaway back in 2006.
It can always be a daunting time for staff when integrating between two very different organisations - to ensure the best possible transition between the two organisations the team designed a three year roadmap for a streamlined merger. This included:
• Harmonising terms and conditions of employment
• Integrating departments and depots
• Restructuring and realigning business divisions
• Bringing together the cultural differences of the two organisations
I’m delighted that the work our team put in has been recognised by this award, which we received at the annual HR Distinction Awards Gala Dinner at The ICC in Birmingham to celebrate excellence in HR projects.
Judges’ comments included “Veolia Environmental Services did a brilliant job of integrating two organisations with different cultures, processes and systems. Implementation took place over a three year planned approach and has made a real success of bringing together two diverse organisations.”
