I’m delighted to hear that Stephen Fry is to be the new president of Mind, our company charity of the year. With such a high-profile president and ambassador of this good cause, this can only be a step forward in recognising the awareness of mental health in the UK.
Last weekend I took part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Mind, with a group of 26 people which included two other colleagues from Veolia Environmental Services.

The weather wasn't ideal - there's still snow at the top of Ben Nevis! There was a lot of rain and mist on Scafell Pike (as well as a rare sighting of a natterjack toad) and only a glimpse of sun on Snowdon, although I'm proud to say we completed it with 25 minutes to spare.
It's definitely one of the hardest, physically enduring challenges I've ever done - I'm now thinking of what to do next!
