Our goal is to help increase recycling and composting in the County to 52% by 2012. During our 26 year PFI (Private Finance Initiative) integrated waste management contract, we will invest in new infrastructure and work with Nottinghamshire residents to significantly reduce the amount of waste the county sends to landfill.
Services provided:
- We operate a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Mansfield, which can handle up to 85,000 tonnes per year of mixed dry recyclables from Nottinghamshire households
- We manage 14 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) across the County on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council
- Waste education and awareness initiatives across the County; including outreach visits and education sessions at our Materials Recovery Facility in Mansfield
