We are responsible for providing efficient refuse collection services, encouraging waste reduction and improving recycling rates in the city, as well as managing a network of bring banks and Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs).
We also operate a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to sort 20,000 tonnes of waste paper and card, and an Energy Recovery Facility, which supplies up to 60MW of heat to Sheffield’s District Energy Network and 19MW of electricity for the National Grid.
