To fulfil the contract, Veolia is working with the Council to implement an integrated waste management system to handle the 80,000 tonnes of waste produced in the district each year.
This involves the expansion of recycling services and investment in a new integrated waste management facility at Padfield Sidings which has recently received planning permission. As well as providing the facilities needed, we are also committed to providing waste education, through events, activities and outreach visits.
