Veolia Environmental Services - waste and the community

Waste and the community

We are all responsible for managing waste. It is vital that everyone in the community gets involved to take action against the growing waste problem. Veolia Environmental Services Nottinghamshire works with communities across Nottinghamshire to raise awareness about waste and recycling in the County.

    Are You Bin Smart?

There are so many items in your day to day waste that can be recycled and made into something new. Just by putting yoghurt pots, cereal boxes, cans, paper and a range of other containers into your recycling bin we can make sure that less waste goes to landfill and more materials are made into something new.

  • Veolia waste awareness and education

we run a community fund called the Nottinghamshire ‘EnviroGrant’ scheme. This is a fund to which not-for-profit community groups based in the county of Nottinghamshire (excluding the city of Nottingham) can apply for grants of up to £1,000 for projects which improve their local environment.
  • Community liaison group
