Compost Surgeries will give residents the chance to find out more about the benefits of home composting, whilst entering into a free prize draw to win their very own compost bin. Compost surgeries will take place on:
• Tuesday 8th May: Sainsbury’s, Archer Road
• Thursday 10th May: Co op, Stocksbridge
• Friday 11th May: Fargate, City Centre
Compost Bin Sale
After the success of last year’s sale, Sheffield City Council and Veolia are delighted to announce this year’s compost bin sale in partnership with local charity, Heeley City Farm on Saturday 12th May.
Compost bins are available to Sheffield residents for the bargain price of just £13 (RRP £39) and water butts (including a starter kit) will also be available at a knock-down price of £22 (RRP £69). 45 litre bags of locally produced compost will be on offer at £3 or 4 bags for £10.
Heeley City Farm receives a contribution from every bin, butt or bag sold to help them carry on their work within the Sheffield community.
The one day sale will be held in the car park at Anns Grove Primary School, Anns Road (across from Heeley City Farm) 10am - 4pm. The sale items will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
