Opening Hours
The days on which Sheffield's five Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) are open are changing. From Wednesday 6th June 2012, some sites will no longer be open every day. In addition the opening times at the sites will be changing. The new opening hours are:
When using Household Waste Recycling Centres please remember:
- To follow the instructions of the site supervisors who will direct you to the correct container for your waste.
- Try to time your visit for a weekday morning to avoid the busiest periods. Weekends, afternoons and Bank Holidays can be very busy so you may experience delays.
- Materials brought to site will be reclaimed for either re-use or recycling wherever possible.
Remember - It is illegal to dump waste at places other than within the skips provided at the Recycling Sites.
Van permit scheme
If you wish to visit any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres in vans, pick-ups or trailers and have not yet applied for a permit, please use our booking in procedure to help us manage traffic and waste on site.

Please note: there is a Height Barrier (1.8m/5'11") at all the Household Waste Recycling Centres.
Please note: These sites are not for the use of traders, who must use a properly licensed waste disposal site and satisfy Duty of Care.
