Energy Recovery Facility

Working in partnership

Veolia Environmental Services is a global company that delivers integrated waste management and environmental services to local communities and businesses. We currently operate six Energy Recovery Facilities in the UK with others under construction or awaiting planning determination and are committed to meeting the highest environmental and technical standards.

The company is already a major local employer in South Staffordshire and we have a regional head office located at Four Ashes. Over the coming years, we will build on this strong track record to deliver the best possible solution at Four Ashes and support Staffordshire as the county works towards achieving zero waste to landfill.

Community Liaison Group

Staffordshire County Council has emphasised that public involvement with the development of this facility will be of particular importance. Veolia also recognises the importance of working with the local community.

As part of our commitment to building and maintaining good relationships with communities in and around Four Ashes and elsewhere in Staffordshire, we are currently in the process of establishing a community liaison group.

The first Community Liaison Group met at the end of March 2011.  To view the minutes of this meeting click here Minutes of CLG Minutes  or follow the link at the bottom of the page.  At this meeting we asked for further applications to join the Community Liaison Group.

Invitations have now been sent out to members of the local community and local businesses that have shown an interest in joining the group to come along to the next meeting.

The group will meet approximately every three months and will be attended by representatives from Veolia, Staffordshire County Council and neighbouring Parish Councils. The group will give members the opportunity to discuss information regarding the construction and operation of the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF).
