Veolia Environmental Services provides all residents of the borough with a weekly refuse collection service. Residents in low-rise properties are issued with grey wheeled bins for their general waste, while those in housing estates and high-rise properties have access to large communal bins.
Please click HERE to find out what day of the week your refuse is collected.
We also operate a special collection service for bulky items that cannot fit into the refuse or recycling containers provided to residents, such as furniture and lamps. For further information about this service, please click HERE.
In addition, we have a sizeable container maintenance and delivery operation at our depot in Alperton, repairing and upgrading any defective bins and other waste containers and putting them back into service. This service has grown considerably since the start of the new contract in April 2007, to the extent that we now deliver over 300 containers a week.
We aim to provide all residents of the borough with an efficient and effective collection service. As such, we have a target for the maximum number of missed bins per 100,000 collections made.
Please see the chart below for our monthly performance for 2007 set against the target figures (80 for January to March, 40 for April onwards).
