Ealing is the third most populous borough in London with over 310,000 people residing in its 21.4 square miles. The borough has the most ethnically diverse population in the UK, with over 40% of its people coming from minority groups.
Located in the west of London, the borough begins in Acton and at Hanger Lane and works its way west through Perivale, Ealing and Hanwell and out to Northolt, Greenford and Southall.
Ealing has the only listed Park in London - Walpole Park. This park forms the focal point in the Ealing town centre.
One of the largest projects being undertaken in London outside of the 2012 Olympic Games preparations is the Northala Fields park development in the Northolt district. When completed, the park will provide a wide range of recreational facilities and ecological features for local residents and visitors to enjoy.
Veolia Environmental Services provides landscaping and grounds maintenance services throughout the borough to over 100 parks and open spaces, making it one of the company’s largest contracts of its kind in the UK.
Through expert care and preservation, we have helped Ealing win two Green Flag Awards in 2007 – the national standard for parks and open spaces. These have been awarded to Acton Park and Southall Park.
The Northala Fields development will come under our programme of works to maintain in about 2009.
