Veolia Environmental Services provides a weekly refuse collection service from over 120,000 low and high-rise properties in the borough of Lambeth, including on all Bank Holidays.
Households and other low-rise properties are supplied with wheeled bins, which should be left on the edge of each resident’s property by 6am on the day of collection, while high-rise properties and housing estates use bulk containers.
We also provide a bulky waste collection service to households and low-rise properties on request, for items that cannot fit into the standard wheeled bin, such as large items of furniture.

We endeavour to provide all residents of Lambeth with an efficient and reliable refuse collection service and are always seeking to improve our performance. We have a target figure set by Lambeth Council for the maximum number of missed bins per 100,000 collections made. Please see below the chart of our performance in 2007 against the set target.

Collection Crew of the Year
Emphasising the importance we place on service performance, one of our refuse crews which operates in the Streatham area was shortlisted for a major industry award in 2007 – Collection Crew of the Year, at the letsrecycle.com Awards for Excellence. Louis Riberio and Gregor Unisweski reached the final three out of dozens of entries and were singled out for special praise by the host of the awards, BBC news presenter Bill Turnbull.
