  • 27 October 2014 Join us for a free fun Pumpkin day – Grow it, Carve it, Cook it, Compost it!
    Families in Nottinghamshire can get a whole host of pumpkin fun at the environmentally friendly free event taking place on Thursday 30th October in Worksop. Local residents are invited to get involved in the event, which aims to raise awareness of the environment and recycling and adds some tangy, tasty, creative fun to the half term holiday.

    All hallows eve is a seasonal day enjoyed by children and adults alike, but Halloween can create a lot of waste. Costumes, decorations, and sweet treats top the list of a spooktacular Halloween, Veolia (Nottinghamshire County Council’s waste management contractor) are encouraging the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for a Green Halloween.
  • 21 October 2014 Winter opening times at Nottinghamshire’s Recycling Centres
    The nights are drawing in which means the Recycling Centres in Nottinghamshire will soon have shorter opening hours. From Friday 1st November the 13 Recycling Centres across the County will open at 8am as usual but will close at 4pm.
