Community Liaison Group

In 2006, an Energy Recovery Community Liaison Group was established in Rainworth to give residents of the area and other interested groups the chance to find out more about the proposals to build an Energy Recovery Facility at the old Rufford Colliery Site. The group was independently facilitated by the company 3KQ; and provided members with the opportunity to discuss issues with experts and neighbours, raise any concerns; and influence some elements of the design and ultimately the way in which we report back about the facility.

Veolia Environmental Services Nottinghamshire will maintain the Community Liaison Group during and after the construction of the ERF. We will listen to its views and act upon its concerns.

To date, there have been ten Community Liaison meetings over the period from October 2006 to October 2007. The reports are available to view below.
