If waste collected from households across Nottinghamshire cannot be delivered to its end destination immediately it will be sent to a waste transfer station where it can be stored and assessed before it is sent on for the most appropriate disposal, treatment or recycling.

Veolia Environmental Services Nottinghamshire currently operates Waste Transfer Stations in Nottingham, Newark and Worksop. We also plan to create a network of new transfer stations to serve Newark and Worksop and to use existing sites at Giltbrook and South Nottingham to receive and handle waste and recyclables from district council collections.
