Veolia ES Hampshire Ltd
In 1995 Veolia Environmental Services won a 28 year integrated waste management contract with Hampshire County Council. This was in partnership with all 14 Local and Unitary Authorities in the county, and is known as Project Integra. In recognition of their achievements in reaching a sustainable waste management programme, the Authorities were awarded Beacon Status in 2000. The infrastructure developed leads the field in integrated waste management, and incorporates state-of-the-art Energy Recovery, Materials Recovery and Composting Facilities. Today all of the infrastructure is operational, we have met and exceeded our original targets and have received many awards.

Veolia ES Sheffield Ltd
In August 2001 Veolia Environmental Services took over the waste management contract from Sheffield City Council, taking on the management of 240,000 tonnes of waste a year. Veolia Environmental Services is now working with the council to encourage waste reduction through education and raising awareness whilst maintaining an efficient collection service and increasing recycling rates through the provision of kerbside collection and developing recycling facilities. In addition, Veolia Environmental Services has developed a new Energy Recovery Facility and has expanded Sheffield’s existing District Energy network.

Veolia ES South Downs Ltd
East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council awarded Veolia Environmental Services a 25 year integrated waste management contract in April 2003. The area produces 400,000 tonnes of waste a year. Veolia Environmental Services formed Veolia ES South Downs Ltd to be responsible for managing all collected household waste from East Sussex and Brighton & Hove, all the Household Waste Recycling Sites and all recyclable, compostable and general household waste delivered to facilities in the area.

SELCHP
In 1988 the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Southwark and Greenwich formed a consortium to address waste management disposal in the area. Together with Veolia Environmental Services and construction specialist CNIM and other partners, the SELCHP Energy Recovery plant was opened in 1994. SELCHP now handles around 420,000 tonnes per annum and returns 30 MW to the National Grid - sufficient to power up to 48,000 households.

Veolia ES Birmingham Ltd
Veolia Environmental Services has also developed and now operates Veolia ES Birmingham Ltd, formerly Tyseley Waste Disposal, as a waste management solution for the City of Birmingham. The Energy Recovery facility now handles 350,000 tonnes per annum and provides 25 MW to the National Grid - sufficient to power up to 41,000 households.

Veolia Environmental Services Nottinghamshire Ltd.
In partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council, we are responsible for waste disposal in Nottinghamshire. Our aim is to reduce the amount of waste that is sent to landfill and increase recycling in the county.

Veolia Environnement Development Centre
Veolia Environmental Services offers a wide range of vocational, technical and management training programmes to its staff through the Veolia Environnement Development Centre.
The Centre has been established to provide the opportunity for all Veolia Environmental Services' employees to acquire skills, knowledge and increased competencies, enabling them to progress and achieve optimum performance levels within the Group. These programmes are written to national standards and are designed to help employees achieve group and national qualifications, diplomas and certificates. The programmes encourage personal development and open up new career opportunities for employees across Veolia Environmental Services’ business units to work together and share experiences, promoting teamwork and affinity to the Group.
