16 July 2008 - School’s out…..here’s to a greener new term! On Friday 18th July, children all over Nottinghamshire and across the country will breathe a sigh of relief as another school year draws to a close. Six weeks of holidays, fun and lie-ins are ahead, with September seeming a long way away.
14 July 2008 - A really wild day out for Notts school kids On Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th July, two classes of year six Notts children enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Attenborough Nature Centre, on a Wildlife Education Day provided by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.
11 July 2008 - Putting the ‘cycle’ back into recycling! Senior management from Veolia Environmental Services rolled up their sleeves yesterday to complete and officially open a cycle track for Valley Park Primary School in Gleadless. Wherever possible the cycle track has incorporated recycled materials and has saved the school an estimated £30,000 whilst creating an innovative and healthy outdoor space for the pupils.
1 July 2008 - New recycling scheme off to a flying start West Berkshire’s new recycling service has got off to a flying start with almost 200 tonnes of recycling collected in the first week.
