If you have transport, and need to get rid of extra bulky household rubbish, it can be taken to any one of Sheffield's Household Waste Recycling Centres, and disposed of free of charge.

Certain rules apply to the collection of televisions and electrical items. We will be happy to help you find the best disposal method for these items.

A collection service of bulky items is also available. A charge may apply depending on your circumstances.

We have three categories for the removal of bulky refuse:

1. Council Tenants
No service charge for the removal of items of a domestic nature only.
Service costs are included in the tenant's rent payment.

Collection within 17 working days (for a maximum of 10 items).

2. Private Tenants and Householders
£31.00 flat rate for items of a domestic nature only.
Tenants on income support, housing benefit or job seekers allowance, £15.00.

Collection within 5 working days (for a maximum of 10 items).

3. Council Tenants, Private Tenants and Private Householders
Chargeable service for the removal of items of a non-domestic nature (fixtures & fittings inc baths). This is a MINIMUM charge of £31.00 and would require a Manager to visit and provide an estimate of charges.

Collection within 5 working days.

(The only type of bath that we can't take (unless it is broken up) is a cast iron one).
