Veolia
Environmental Services operates a green wheeled
bin service to collect garden waste from over 45,000
properties in the city, which was originally part of a trial recycling
service funded by DEFRA
(Department for Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs). The garden waste collected through this
service is used to make compost at various community
projects throughout the city.
