In October 2007, Veolia Environmental Services was awarded a 27 year contract by the Shropshire Waste Partnership to provide improved waste and recycling services for residents.

Veolia ES Shropshire is responsible for managing waste and recycling collections and disposal in Shropshire on behalf of the Shropshire Council. Over the next few years, residents will see improvements in the services they receive and improvements to the network of infrastructure, including the introduction of a kerbside plastic bottle collection which is being rolled out across the County in 2010/11.
