To put the strategy in place, a network of facilities needs to be developed, including a Materials Recovery Facility, an enclosed composting facility, an Energy Recovery Facility and Waste Transfer Stations. Remaining local landfill will also be utilised for any non recoverable waste.

The map below shows the proposed locations of the facilities we are planning. All the sites have been selected after careful consideration of all the alternatives and with regard to planning guidance, the Waste Local Plan and recommendations contained in the Inspector’s Report.
