 Funding boost for mobile recycling centre

Residents can now find out more ways to recycle from a mobile recycling centre called The Green Centre, after funding was granted from the Veolia Environmental Services Resource Action Fund.


 Springtime Recycling

If your thoughts turn to a spot of spring cleaning at this time of year, the 14 East Sussex and Brighton & Hove household waste recycling sites offer the perfect place to reuse and recycle all the unwanted items that you no longer want or need. The sites will be open throughout the Easter holiday as normal except the Crowborough, Eastbourne and Hove sites which will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday and Hailsham which will be open from 9:00 – 13:00 Friday – Monday.

 Funding available to take action on waste!

Veolia Environmental Services is relaunching its Resource Action Fund through the Sussex Community Foundation to help people in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove tackle waste in the area.

 Wadhurst top of the county for recycling

The Household Waste Recycling Site in Wadhurst is currently the best performing in the entire county. Recent figures have revealed that the site, operated by Veolia Environmental Services in partnership with East Sussex County Council, has recycled and reused 63% of its waste since April 2007, diverting a massive 1279 tonnes of waste away from depleting local landfill.

 New Year recycling boost

 Recycling rewards Children in Need

Site users and staff at East Sussex and Brighton & Hove’s Household Waste Recycling Sites have this year raised a further £675 for Children in Need.
