Who can apply for funding?
The Resource Action Fund is available for properly constituted not for profit organisations and includes charities, community groups or forums and schools.
What can we fund?
The Veolia Environmental Services South Downs, Resource Action Fund at Sussex Community Foundation has been created to help the local community in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove take action on waste.
The fund is for projects or schemes which contribute to the reduction, reuse or recycling of waste, either via practical action or promotion and education. They should address the top of the waste hierarchy, in line with the waste management strategy for East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
Funding can be granted for a variety of project activities including promotion and marketing, education and awareness raising, practical equipment or running costs.
Whilst there is no formal limit to the amount granted, the fund is aimed at projects requiring in the region of £2000. We have a limited amount of money available and consequently applications can only be made once a year.
To apply for funding fill out the application form online at www.sussexgiving.org.uk or request a form by calling Sussex Community Foundation on 01273 403980.
